Our Editorial Mission
Earn From Nigeria exists to give freelancers and online earners in Nigeria accurate, tested, and practical guidance. Every article we publish is researched by real Nigeria professionals who have actually used the products and services they review with their own money.
We do NOT publish content based on:
- Paid placements disguised as reviews
- Generic information copied from other sources
- AI-generated content without expert review
- Marketing materials provided by companies
Our Editorial Team
Lead Author: Chidi Okonkwo, Nigerian freelance writer and international payment consultant based in Lagos. 4+ years tracking the Nigeria freelance and payments market. Member of Nigerian Freelancer Community.
Every article is reviewed by Chidi Okonkwo before publication. We do not use ghostwriters or anonymous freelance authors.
How We Test Products and Services
1. Real Money Testing
Every payment platform, bank, and service mentioned on Earn From Nigeria has been tested with our own money. We do not rely on company-provided demo accounts or marketing screenshots.
Platforms we have tested with real funds:
- Payment platforms: Wise, Payoneer, Grey, Chipper Cash, OPay, Carbon, Kuda
- Banks: GTBank, Access Bank, Zenith Bank, UBA, First Bank, UnionBank
2. Multi-City Verification
Tests run from multiple Nigeria cities (Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt) to capture real geographic variation in service quality, processing times, and exchange rates.
3. Time-Stamped Documentation
Each test includes screenshots, timestamps, and transaction IDs. We retain documentation for fact-checking by readers who request verification.
4. Comparative Analysis
Rather than reviewing services in isolation, we compare them against alternatives. A “best” recommendation always includes the specific scenarios where it wins or loses.
5. Quarterly Updates
Major guides are updated quarterly with current fees, exchange rates, regulations, and feature changes. Articles older than 3 months without updates are flagged for re-verification.
Our Fact-Checking Process
Every article goes through 4 stages before publication:
Stage 1: Initial Research
- Primary sources: Official company documentation, regulatory filings, central bank publications
- Secondary sources: Tested user accounts, community feedback in Nigerian Freelancer Community
- Verification: Cross-reference with at least 2 independent sources
Stage 2: Hands-On Testing
- Author personally tests claims with own funds
- Documents results with screenshots and dates
- Notes any discrepancies between official claims and real behavior
Stage 3: Expert Review
- Chidi Okonkwo reviews draft for accuracy
- Cross-references with current FIRS (Federal Inland Revenue Service) regulations
- Verifies all numbers against current rate sheets
Stage 4: Reader Verification (Ongoing)
- Articles include feedback mechanisms
- Updates published when readers report inaccuracies
- Major corrections issued within 7 days of verification
Author Standards
Our authors meet these minimum requirements:
- Active freelancer or industry practitioner (not just journalist)
- Years of relevant experience (minimum 3 years for senior topics)
- Multi-language proficiency when relevant (Nigeria market requires local fluency)
- Verifiable identity (real name, real location, real expertise)
- Conflict of interest disclosure when discussing services author uses
Affiliate Disclosure (Transparency)
Earn From Nigeria earns money through affiliate partnerships. When you click certain links and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
Our principles:
Honesty over commission: We never recommend a service solely because it pays higher commission. Recommendations are based on what genuinely works best for Nigeria users.
Disclosure on every article: Articles with affiliate links display a clear disclosure at the top.
Alternative options highlighted: When the best option does not pay commission, we still recommend it (e.g., banks without affiliate programs).
No paid reviews: We do not accept payment for positive coverage. Companies cannot pay to be featured, ranked higher, or removed from negative coverage.
Reader benefit first: If a service we previously recommended degrades in quality, we update or remove the recommendation regardless of commission impact.
Affiliate networks we partner with:
- Wise / Partnerize
- Payoneer (limited markets)
- CJ Affiliate
- Impact.com
- Awin
- ShareASale

Corrections Policy
When we publish information that turns out to be incorrect, we:
- Correct the article immediately upon verification
- Add a “Corrections” note at the bottom of the affected article
- Update the modified date to reflect the change
- Notify readers who originally reported the issue
- Cross-reference with other articles that may share the same error
We do not silently delete or hide incorrect information. All corrections are publicly visible.
How to Submit Feedback or Corrections
If you find inaccuracies, outdated information, or want to share your experience that differs from our findings:
- Email:editorial@earnfromnigeria.com
- Subject line: “Editorial Correction: [Article Title]”
- Include: Specific claim, your evidence, your contact information for follow-up
We respond to editorial feedback within 5 business days.
Editorial Independence
Earn From Nigeria maintains complete editorial independence from:
- Companies we review (no advertorials)
- Affiliate networks (commission rates do not influence rankings)
- Advertisers (we do not run display ads from companies we review)
- Political or ideological groups (financial guidance only)
This independence is the foundation of reader trust. We will end any partnership that compromises editorial integrity, regardless of revenue impact.

To stay focused and deliver depth, we do not cover:
- Get-rich-quick schemes
- MLM or pyramid structures
- Cryptocurrency investment (regulatory complexity in Nigeria)

- Adult content monetization
If you are looking for guidance in these areas, we recommend specialized resources elsewhere.
